Launching

As 2010 draws to a close, we are excited to announce the launch of Lilorann, a unique collaborative project in the deserts of northwestern India. (Browse the About Section to learn more about the project)

Lilorann is a platform that brings designers, scientists, technologists, artists, biologists and environmentalists together, to explore the potential roles and responsibilities of technology in the support of the natural ecosystem.

Ultimately the project’s long term vision is to build a toolbox of ‘positive tipping points’ that will empower people to take on ecological challenges at a local level, and share the knowledge with different communities around the world, where it can be contextually re-appropriated.

Project Lilorann team is Shrawan Acharya, Jon Ardern, Geoff Lawton, Christina Agapakis, Noah Raford, Ferdinand Ludwig, Candy Chang, Mark Selby and Anab Jain.

It is a partnership between Superflux Lab, Faculty for Environment and Climate Change Studies, CEPT University and AADI Centre, India. We are super excited about this. We believe it is critical to set up projects like this today and bring different people and skill sets together to do something bigger.

We are currently looking to raise funding, build brand partnerships and get recommendations for possible resources. If you can help us any way, just drop us a line, we’d love to chat.

And yes, follow more updates on twitter.
